This is Sophie Leetmaa.

 I intend to make artwork that has a certain kind of atmosphere. I'd like to describe it but if I succeeded there wouldn't be a reason to seek to create the art. If I could unnerve someone or thrill them, at best both, that would make me happy. Watercolor and ink are often used with salt and rubbing alcohol. I find a few running themes in the imagery; there are furniture with eyes, downtrodden birds, overcast skies, and embroidery thread.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I had a look at your deviant art and tumblr sites and I love the effect you get with watercolour - is that through using salt?  Your pen and ink 'How we quit the forest' is really brilliant.
