Win a $2,000 grant

The Starving Artist Project aims to create a grant that an artist can use to continue making a body of work. Using the submission fees from each submission, we will award one artist with a $2,000 grant. Every artist who submits will be included in an exhibition at Brooklyn Art Library and published in a book documenting the project.

The goal of the Starving Artist Project is to provide artists with funding to continue creating work. By taking portions of the submission fee, we are able to provide a grant in the amount of $2,000.

To participate, add the project to your cart above and check out. We'll send you sheet in the mail with the project rules and specifications. Create a piece of artwork that represents yourself and your body of work. When finished, mail it back to us in the mail.

You will have your piece included in the exhibition on June 25th at Brooklyn Art Library in Brooklyn, NY.

To receive your artwork back after the show, please include a check that covers the cost to ship your work back to you. Make sure you weigh your piece and find out how much it costs to ship.

The winner will be awarded $2,000 dollars and a chance to put five pieces into a future exhibition at Brooklyn Art Library.

The money must be used to further their portfolio
